PIONEERS A are top of the Crewe Liberal Club Open Dominoes League Premier Division after a 5-3 win over Westend Band C.

They are joined at the top by Vine A, who trounced Cosey Club 7-1.

Hop Pole A were 5-2 winners at Flying Lady A and they, along with Earl of Chester who were held to a draw by Westend LMR B, are joint third a point behind.

It is a three-way tie at the top of Division One with Express (6-2), Imperial (6-2) and Broughton (7-1) winners over respective opponents Kings A, Amalgamated A and Woodside.

Amalgamated B, who had a 5-3 victory at Waldron A, and Hawk, who were held to a draw by White Lion F/lane B, continue to top Division Two.

There are three teams on equal points at the top of Division Three - Rising Sun, Prince of Wales C and Vine C.

Waldron B, with another 7-1 victory, lead Division Four by three points from Kings Arms B.

Nags Head are top of Division Five following a 5-3 victory against Swan and Chequers.

They are two points in front of Brunel A, who were 5-3 winners over Brunel C.

Hop Pole B are the leaders in Division Six after a 5-3 win over Foresters B.
