Brentford 5
Crewe Alexandra 0
CREWE Alexandra were victims of a Brentford blitz on Saturday as the Bees hit five in League One.
Max Clayton, Byron Moore and Chuks Aneke created half chances at Griffin Park, but Marcello Trotta gave the hosts the lead moments before the break.
Adam Forshaw added to their advantage after the interval when he skipped past Harry Davis and slotted beyond Alan Martin.
Chelsea loanee George Saville added a third via a post from outside the box before ex-Alex forward Clayton Donaldson completed the rout with a brace.
Will Grigg and Jonathan Douglas combined to put the 29-year-old through and he round Martin to tap in his first, then he latched onto a loose ball to make it five unbeaten league games for Brentford.
Aneke shot over for the Railwaymen and Moore flashed a delivery across the six-yard box, but substitute Liam Noble was unable to convert from close range.
