Crewe Alexandra 1 Oldham Athletic 1
A LATE leveller on Saturday moved Crewe Alexandra one point from League One safety as they held relegation rivals Oldham Athletic.
Harry Davis nodded home his fourth of the season in the 90th minute to salvage a point for the Railwaymen after Gary Harkins had opened the scoring.
The Latics, who now sit two points above the drop zone, had the better of the early chances with Adam Lockwood heading over and Joel Byrom firing wide.
But the visitors broke the deadlock shortly after half time as St Mirren loanee Harkins drifted inside before firing past Ben Garratt from the edge of the area.
Garratt, however, kept the Alex in the game with several saves before top-scorer Chuks Aneke saw his free kick tipped over by Paul Rachubka.
But Davis rose highest to head home George Evans’ corner and put Steve Davis’ side a point from safety with nine games remaining.
