Crewe Alexandra 0 Accrington Stanley 2
TWO goals within the opening minutes condemned Crewe Alex to defeat against high-flying Accrington Stanley.
Dave Artell's side were behind in the third minute when Michael Raynes conceded a penalty by upending Kayden Jackson in the area, with Billy Kee smashing home the spot-kick.
Jordan Clark then doubled the lead when Alex stopper Dave Richards could only parry Jackson's pull-back into his path and he finished off with a diving header.
Tom Lowery and Chris Porter both went close to getting The Alex on the scoresheet, but the game was to end on a sour note.
Raynes was given his marching orders after picking up a second yellow card for holding Mallik Wilkes back.
