To cheer us up, lets have a look at Team GB's medal count as it stands right now.

Laura Robson and Andy Murray added to Team GB's medal count today taking silver in the mixed doubles.

No place in the men's 400m final for Team GB's Conrad Williams or Martyn Rooney either.

8:37pm

Exciting scenes in the men's hockey this evening. Team GB came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Australia.

I wasn't expecting another 'Super Saturday' but today is not turning out well in the athletics so far.

Ross Murray and Andy Baddeley are both out of the 1500 finals.

We still have Conrad Williams and Martyn Rooney to come in the 400m semi-finals. Let's see if they can turn it around for Team GB.

Our Olympics reporter's office for the evening... could be worse.

Men's 100m semi-final

Heat one: Dasaolu came seventh with a time of 10.18
Heat two: Dwain Chambers finished in third with a time of 10.05
Heat three: Adam Gemili came third with a time of 10.06

Unfortunately that's all of our boys out of the final.

You might like to know Usain Bolt ran it in 9.87 with relative ease.

A bit of Twitter support for our local athletes...

7:37pm

Between reporting on the Games, Olympic reporter Matt Bass has taken time out to tell us what it felt like to be a part of the atmosphere on day eight of the Olympics.

Click here to read why he thinks Super Saturday will take some beating.

7:02pm

Coming up later we have a host of athletics to keep us on the edge of our seats. Here's who we'll be cheering on:

Men's 100m - James Dasaolu, Adam Gemili and Dwain Chambers

Men's 1500m - Ross Murray and Andy Baddeley

Men's 400m - Conrad Williams and Martyn Rooney

6:50pm

Disappointment for Laura Robson and Andy Murray who have lost to Belarus pair Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi.

They do walk away with silver though, adding another medal to Team GB's tally.

5:08pm

And another Murray headline suggestion:

5:04pm

On a more positive note, Team GB have taken gold in the tennis with Andy Murray's win over Roger Federer in the men's singles.

Let's hope he remains on top form when he joins Wimbledon's Laura Robson in the mixed doubles.

Don't forget to leave your headline suggestions in the comment box below. Here's one we've received via Twitter...

Claire Hallissey ran well in today’s Olympic marathon but was unable to add to Team GB’s medal haul and there was disappointment for Teddington's Mara Yamauchi - click here to read the full report.

More from our man at Wimbledon, Stuart Amos...

Earlier, Andy Murray stormed to the first set and is looking comfortable in the second, with the crowd reflecting the nature of the match.

"The atmosphere is more like people's Sunday than a final at Wimbledon.

"Choice comments from the crowd include 'you look hot in red Roger' to 'use the force Andy'.

"It sounds more like Stella McCartney versus Luke Skywalker."

2:55pm

Nice poncho!

2:49pm

At the tennis, our Olympic reporter Stuart Amos is soaking up the atmosphere as well as the sunshine .

He said: "It's a glorious day on Centre Court. I should have brought the sun cream. I'm going to be as red as Federer's shirt later."

2:27pm

Wandsworth-born Bryony Shaw finished first in race nine of the windsurfing this morning and fifth in race 10.

She goes in to the medal race on Tuesday in seventh place.

We're all behind you Bryony - go Team GB!

12:26pm

Anyone spotted a gold postbox yet?

12:22pm

Sad news that Teddington resident Mara Yamauchi has had to drop out of the women's marathon after just five kilometres with an apparent injury.
