NANTWICH Town need only a single point from Saturday’s trip to Worksop to secure their spot in the UniBond Premier Division promotion play offs.
A 5-0 win against Boston United on Tuesday night took the Dabbers up to third in the table, with the positions second to fifth earning a play-off place.
Currently Nantwich are ahead of fourth-placed Guiseley on goal difference, with the two teams on the same points total and have a two-point cushion over FC United of Manchester, Bradford Park Avenue and Kendal Town, who are fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Even if the Dabbers draw, mathematically two of that chasing pack could still leapfrog them but FC United would need to win by 16 goals, Bradford by 18 or Kendal by 19.
The most high-profile clash on the final day sees FC United take on Bradford PA, while Guiseley travel to relegation-threatened Witton and Kendal take on Buxton.
