Dabbers have to put FA Cup behind them

DABBERS will be hoping to put their FA Cup disappointment behind them when they travel to face FC United of Manchester on Saturday.

Town travel to Gigg Lane, Bury with a tough task against fourth placed United who are unbeaten after six games.

Dabbers are four league points behind them in ninth position.

Focus will now focus on the Evo Stik Premier League after their FA Cup knockout.

After the euphoria of last season’s cup journey to the First Round proper, the Dabbers suffered the heartache of elimination at the first hurdle in this season’s competition.

Two goals straight after the break gave Chorley a 2-0 win after Nantwich had looked comfortable at half-time, having edged the opening 45 minutes. But goals by strike partners Ciaran Kilheeney, 48mins, and Darren Stephenson, 50mins, effectively wrapped up the tie for the hosts.
