NANTWICH Town’s players were the best behaved on the pitch in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s top tier last month.

The Dabbers received fewer cautions than any of their rivals in the Premier Division, pipping Blyth Spartans and FC United to the first Jungledrum Fair Play prize of the season.

They will receive their award – a bottle of Famous Grouse Whisky – before kick off in Saturday’s league encounter with Worksop.

Meanwhile Jimmy Quinn’s men’s reward for sending Redditch Unite d out of the FA Trophy at the weekend – apart from a £2,000-plus pay day – is a trip to league rivals AFC Fylde in the second qualifying round.

The Coasters are in a rich vein of form, their five-matches winning run in all competitions earning boss Dave Challinor the Manager of the Month award for September.

They were also 3-0 winners at Weaver Stadium last month.

Nantwich head north for the teams’ second meeting of the season on Saturday, October 27, kick off 3pm.

Simon Clark’s inconsistent Tigers are in town this weekend before the Dabbers travel to promotion hopefuls Chorley next Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm.
