CREWE and Nantwich Rugby Club are holding a charity challenge that will take 14 team members on a gruelling coast-to-coast bike ride in aid of Help the Heroes.
On July 30, 14 riders will set off from Workington and travel across the country to Sunderland, more than 136 miles away.
The challenging task will take the participants through the Lake District and across the Pennines, all in under 24 hours!
Last year 16 Crewe and Nantwich players took on the three peaks challenge by walking Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon in 24 hours for a local hospital and it is hoped this event will be just as successful.
The cyclists will be welcomed back in Nantwich with a fundraising BBQ at the Boot and Shoe on Saturday, July 31, and the festivities will start at 4pm.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a cyclist or simply donate money to the cause should contact Jon Cockburn on 07813 092907.
