GEORGE Goodwin claimed the title of Crewe Open League Dominoes Singles Knockout champion on Monday, coming back from 1-0 down to defeat Dave Roberts in the final.
Goodwin scoops £60 for his title win, after putting opponents Bill Brereton and Dave Evanson out in straight-set defeats earlier in the tournament.
Beaten finalist Roberts earned £40 for finishing runner up, following a quarter-final win over Mike Morris and a semi-final victory over Sarah Goodwin.
The beaten semi-finalists Sarah Goodwin and Dave Evanson each scooped £20.
The Dominoes Nines competition was won by Commercial’s Betty Harding, who beat Rising Sun B’s Steve Morris 2-0 to collect her £20 prize.
