I FEEL that I must respond to the article in this week's Guardian headed: "Student is being persecuted because he's gay"
The report contains inaccuracies.
Mr Parker states that his age is 18 when he is in fact 27 years old. He also states that he has had his windows smashed four times and this is not true.
These untruths reflect the sort of person that he is, lying to cause trouble and put blame on other residents.
Mr Parker shouts or talks very loudly through his open window at anytime of the day, evening, and into the early hours of the morning, constantly making "gestures" with his fingers on his window.
He repeatedly opens and slams his window shut, he shouts at "someone" but there is never anyone in sight. On one occasion he opened and closed the window 13 times within a minute, each time shouting and slamming the window. If this can be heard 60 metres away what must it sound like for the people who live above and to the side of him?
The unfounded allegation he makes regarding drug addicts.
Who would make such an unfounded accusation, with a picture of himself attached to the report, putting himself in a more vulnerable position than he is already in? Surely he should realise what he has done and must expect to have some kind of reaction and retaliation.
Mr Parker is not being terrorised because of his sexuality. It is because of his attitude towards people. He is making problems for himself. People are not going to put up with his actions and comments without a certain amount of retaliation.
Mr Parker is the one causing problems. He is his own worst enemy and the sooner he realises this the better it will be for everyone.
