Northwich Folk Club are hosting Granny’s Attic at the Harlequin Theatre, Queen St, Northwich on Friday, September 28 to close the club’s Northwich Folk Fortnight
Granny’s Attic – Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (Melodeon, Concertina, Vocals), George Sansome (Guitar, Vocals) and Lewis Wood (Fiddle, Mandolin, Vocals) – are a folk trio who play the tradition with verve, energy and their own inimitable style.
These three young men are all exceptional musicians and fine singers and play English traditional and original music.
Formed in 2009, they have since played at clubs and festivals up and down the country, and have been heralded for their lively performances and maturity beyond their years in their delivery and selection of traditional songs.
Cohen, George and Lewis are supported by Northwich-based Becca Hickson.
Songwriter Becca counts amongst her strongest influences Eva Cassidy and the Motown greats and is the lead singer with the emergent Stockport band Spiral Junction.
Your host for the evening is Lin Tysoe.
Tickets are available via www.danarts.org.uk (no booking fee and a reserved seat) and are priced at £8 or £6 for club members. Doors open at 8pm for an 8:30pm start at the Harlequin Theatre on Queen Street.
Everyone will be welcome.
