ST GEORGE’S Hall in Liverpool will be transformed into the fantastical world of Wonderland when the venue pays tribute to Daresbury’s Lewis Carroll.

Not-for-profit group In Another Place’s The Alice Experience, which is coming to the city for the second time, is made possible thanks to a team of around 500 volunteers, including actors, stewards, set designers, costume designers and a construction team.

The 90-minute experience, suitable for all but recommended for children over three, will see groups of 80 admitted every half hour to the world famous hall where they will join Alice as she follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole.

As well as meeting all the curious characters along the way like the Mad Hatter, Caterpillar and Cheshire Cat, you can sing along with the playing cards, play croquet and avoid losing your head with the venerable Queen of Hearts.

Creative director Annie Spiers said “We are so excited to have a second opportunity to stage this popular, magical event in the heart of Liverpool.

“It’s a real team effort and we have volunteers from all backgrounds with different abilities – more than a quarter of our volunteers have additional needs.”

The Alice Experience is at St George’s Hall from February 9 to 23. Visit inanotherplace.com/the-alice-experience-2019
