DEADPAN comic Stewart Francis is coming to the Parr Hall in November, further cementing the venue's reputation as a home of live comedy.

Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Jason Manford and Tim Vine are just some of the big names that have been behind the mic at the Palmyra Square concert hall in recent years. And in the past couple of months stand-ups who have announced tour dates in Warrington have included Ben Elton, Rich Hall, Gary Delaney, Hal Cruttenden and cop-turned-comedian Alfie Moore.

Canadian comic Stewart Francis is best known for his zingy one-liners which have made him a hit on the likes of Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Live At The Apollo.

But this is said to be the 60-year-old's last tour before he rides off 'Into the Punset'.

Also an actor and writer, Stewart has headlined comedy nights across North America and the UK and has performed all over the world, including Hong Kong, South Africa and throughout Europe, including support slots for the likes of Michael McIntyre and Ricky Gervais.

Stewart has also previously written for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and won the award for the funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012.

Craig Ferguson, former host of CBS’ Late Late Show, described him as 'one of the funniest comedians in the world' so with praise like that, he’s one not to be missed.

Stewart Francis will present Into The Punset at the Parr Hall as part of his final tour on November 3. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10am. Visit pyramidparrhall.com or call 442345.
