BLUE Planet Aquarium has launched a 'Kid for a Quid' offer just in time for half term.

The aquarium in Ellesmere Port near Cheshire Oaks is home to hundreds of marine creatures as well as the chance to view Europe’s largest collection of sharks through a 71-metre underwater tunnel.

Tickets for under 12s are usually £12.15 when bought online with adults (aged 13 years or over) costing £17.10 when booked in advance or £19 on the gate.

But for the next three days the aquarium is selling kids tickets for £1.

The special offer is available to under 12s with one full paying standard ticket (age 13+ years) up to May 18.

The £1 tickets are valid for visitors between May 25 and June 2.

And to qualify, don't forget your child will need to take with them a drawing of a shark.

All of the drawings will then be entered into a competition to win an annual pass.

Children under the height of 90cm are admitted to the aquarium free of charge and no ticket is required
