THE search is on for budding talent to take part in a new talent competition for St Luke's.

Singers, dancers, musicians, choirs, comedians, magicians or novelty acts are all invited to take part in Live at the Lyceum on Saturday, April 28, at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe.

There will be two prizes up for grabs on the night, and funds raised will go to the Winsford hospice.

Catherine Moore, event fundraiser at St Luke's, said: "We are really excited to be launching this brand new talent competition.

"Live at the Lyceum is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talents live on stage while at the same time raising money for our hospice.

"With a friendly supportive audience to appreciate your efforts, it promises to be a great night.

"So warm up your vocal chords, tune your instruments, polish up your jokes or learn some new dance moves and go live at the Lyceum."

The overall winner will be determined by a panel of judges and will receive £100 and a trophy.

For the audience choice award, members of the audience can buy votes for £1 for their favourite performance, with proceeds going to St Luke's.

Entry for Live at the Lyceum is open until Friday, March 2. For more information visit stlukes-hospice.co.uk/events/live
