THE sun was shining and the streets were packed for the 2018 Weaverham Carnival and Rose Fete.
Now in its 92nd year, the event saw last year’s titleholder Kiera Lowndes pass the crown to the new Rose Queen, Teigan Ryder, on Lake House field.
Teigan was accompanied by her prince consort (Nathan Purslow), bouquet bearer (Gracie Hunter) and train bearer (Katie Glaze) during the traditional parade through the streets of Weaverham. The crown bearer (Aiden Greenway) sceptre bearer (Rio Littler) and sword bearer (Louis Purslow) were also involved in the procession.
Weaverham Junior Queen for 2018 was Kiera-May Mctasney, who was accompanied by her attendants Kasey Millar and Darcey Rae-Leigh Mctasney.
Also involved in the parade was the Fairy Queen, Mia Walker, with Eliza Nancollis as her accomanying fairy.
Weaverham Princess 2018 is Kelsey Lowndes accompanied by attendants Ella Lowndes, Cali-Mae Lowndes, Amelia Jones and Audrie Gerrard. Weaverham Rosebud 2018 is Romy-Lou Littler accompanied by attendant Megan Rutter.
