COLLEGE students and staff have raised hundreds of pounds for charity with a bake-off.
Riverside College held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, September 28, raising a total of £225 for the charity.
Level two catering students held a bake off as part of the festivities, working in pairs to create colourful and flavourful cakes.
Two teams claimed joint first place in the bake off with Joanna Barry, Brendan Almeida, Jasmine Shacklock and Alistair McCulloch sharing the title of star baker.
Joanna Leather, catering tutor at Riverside College, said: "The coffee morning was a wonderful event.
"It was a lot of fun, and the best part was raising money towards such a great cause.
"The students really enjoyed themselves and demonstrated some outstanding baking techniques and choices of flavours."
