FAMILIES can get into the Hallowe’en spirit by taking part in a series of crafty events at Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse.
Celebrate the Mexican holiday the Day of the Dead during the museum’s Spooky Noon event on Monday, October 29. Between 3pm and 5pm creepy stories will be told, and you’ll get to paint your very own cardboard sugar skull mask or make a dancing skeleton.
On Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1 pop along any time between 10am and 4pm and create a jack in a box with a twist at the Spooky Boxes craft event.
Phil Robinson, education assistant, said: “To celebrate Hallowe’en we’ve got lots of spooky craft fun aimed at everyone from terrible tots to horrible teens. We’re looking forward to a spooktacular few days.”
All activities at the London Road museum are drop in sessions and cost £1.80 per child.
