A FARMWORKER sustained serious injuires after getting trapped under a tractor on a farm near Nantwich.
Firecrews from Crewe and Nantwich and the major rescue unit from Winsford were called to help free him from under the vehicle at the location in Wrexham Road, Burland on Saturday morning.
They worked with colleagues from the ambulance service.
They used farm machinery, airbags and timber cribbing to assist with the rescue operation.
The man had suffered serious injuries and, once freed, was passed into the care of the ambulance service.
In total, crews were engaged in the operation for around one hour and 20 minutes.
