A SPECIAL civic carol service is being held at St Chad’s Church in Winsford at 7pm on Friday.
The festive celebration for the town, organised by Winsford town mayor Cllr Gina Lewis, will be led by the mayor’s chaplain Rev Tim Hanson.
A tree of lights ceremony will take place before the carol service at 6.30pm.
Dedications to loved ones will be read out from stars hanging on an illuminated tree in the entrance of the church on Swanlow Lane.
The stars will remain in place until the twelfth night, January 6, 2019.
Everyone is welcome to join the mayor afterwards for tea, coffee and mince pies
Families are invited to celebrate the lives of their loved ones by placing their name on a star.
Tree of Lights dedication forms are available at the town council offices and at reception in Wyvern House, the Lifestyle Centre, both libraries and St John’s Church.
Forms must be returned by Thursday, December 13.
