THREE men made off with large amount of cash and cigarettes in a robbery at a newsagents.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery took place at McColl’s Newsagents on Warrington Road, Rainhill on Saturday, December 15 at around 7.30pm.
The men entered the newsagents and demanded money. They are believed to have made off with a large amount of cash and cigarettes.
No one was injured during the incident.
The first man, who demanded the money from the staff member was described as 6ft, of stocky build wearing a black balaclava, a navy blue puffa jacket and a light grey hoodie.
He was also wearing grey socks which were pulled up over his black tracksuit bottoms. He spoke with a Liverpool accent and was carrying a yellow bag.
The second man, who is reported to have stolen numerous packets of cigarettes, was described as stocky.
The final man, believed to have waited by the door, was described as around 5ft7, of slim build wearing dark clothing.
Officers have undertaken forensic and CCTV analysis and are appealing for anyone that may have information to come forward.
