ARTISTS and creatives are being sought to perform at the Northwich Festival of Arts this summer.

Set to take place in July, the month-long event aims to showcase the cultural and artistic talent that exists in Northwich, building upon the success of the 2018 festival.

The deadline for expressions of interest is midnight on Friday, January 25, so potential applicants more than a week left to let the Northwich Business Improvement District know what they plan to deliver.

Northwich BID manager Jane Hough said: “Activities at the festival can take place both indoor and outdoor and we’re looking for things that will wow and entertain the people of Northwich.

“We welcome performances from a range of disciplines including theatre, music, dance, film, digital arts, visual arts, pavement art, graffiti art, cartoonists and tattoo art among many others.

"Practitioners will need to co-ordinate their activities within the town centre.”

For the event, the BID will once again be working with a number of partners including Northwich Art Shop, Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC), town centre businesses, Barons Quay and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The festival will also comprise other events throughout the month of July, such as the VAC Art Trail and the Northwich River Festival. Organisers will also work closely with music venues, bars and cafes to create bespoke workshops and events.

To express an interest to deliver activity at the Northwich Festival of Arts 2019, individuals or groups will need to complete a short proposal which includes details about their organisation, what they will be delivering, the audience the activity is aimed at and the preferred location for delivery.
