HAVE your say on plans to improve Runcorn and Widnes at two 'community conversations'.

The free events will take place between 7pm and 9pm at Runcorn Shopping City on February 11 and at the Halton Stadium in Widnes on February 18.

The sessions will be facilitated by the Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) charity in partnership with Cheshire Constabulary, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Halton Borough Council and faith groups and community organisations.

Anyone who lives or works in the towns is invited to attend.

Chief Inspector Sarah Heath, of Runcorn Local Policing Unit (LPU), said: “The events are an ideal opportunity for everyone in Halton who cares about where they live to get together under one roof and formulate plans to make their town a safer and nicer place to live.

“The aim is to identify the issues that are most important to the people of Runcorn and Widnes and agree on action plans and goals that can be achieved by everyone working together as a united community.”

There will be free refreshments on both dates and anyone planning to attend is urged to register in advance online at roc.uk.com/runcorn or www.roc.uk.com/widnes or by calling 0161 393 4511.
