A MIDDLEWICH artist is sharing his skills with the community at a workshop event in Hopley House.
Ian Hill-Smith is a Cheshire based visual artist and he is hosting a watercolour portrait workshop in Crafty Little Lotty in Nantwich Road.
The event takes place on Saturday, April 6 from 10am to 4pm.
Anyone wanting to take part needs to bring an A4 image of their subject which could be a pet, a loved one or a personal hero.
Ian said: “I have been wanting to do workshops for a while the work I was doing could not really be taught.
“With these watercolour paintings though I have been using techniques that are quite easy to teach and anyone will be able to do it even if you do not think you can.”
Ian has had a lot of requests to do workshops and he is delighted to finally be able to provide them.
“People have come to see my work over the years and asked if I do any workshops and I have always said how much I would love to do them.
“Now that I’ve organised one I hope the people who were interested remember to come along.”
The workshop costs £75 to take part in and that includes lunch in the Hopley House Café.
