A SPECIALIST beauty therapist in Winsford is celebrating after being hailed runners up in a prestigious national competition.
Vicki Evans Beauty & Aesthetics was shortlisted in the final 10 of the Aesthetic Clinic of the Year north west category in the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2019.
"I am so happy to be the runner up," said Winsford-born Vicki. "We were runners up over Manchester, Liverpool, Barnsley, Middlesbrough, York and Holmforth. So a fantastic win in our eyes and fabulous to be awarded for our achievements."
Yorkshire Lasers were declared the winners at the awards which celebrates the breadth of talent and style at hair and beauty salons.
Vicki, 37, attended the ceremony with beauty therapist Emma Archbold and nail practitioner Amy Parry.
The former St Nicholas Catholic High School pupil studied beauty therapy at university in Birmingham.
After working at home, Vicki opened a salon on Wharton Road and is already looking for bigger premises.
"I just love it all," said Vicki, who trained in NHS phlebotomy in London. "It's fantastic being able to help so many people.
"People's confidence improves and it changes their lives completely."
