STAMPS are going up but here's a crafty way to save money.

Stamps don't have a price on them and there's no expiry date.

So stock up now, especially if you post lots of Christmas cards.

A first class stamp increases by 3p to 70p and a second class stamp is also rising by 3p to 61p from Monday, March 25.

The cost of a large 500g letter will jump 10p from £1.87 to £1.97 and a 1kg small parcel posted 1st class will rise from £3.45 to £3.55.

Royal Mail says the increase is to ensure the sustainability of the universal postal service and claims that despite the rising charges it is still among the best value in Europe.
