FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire at a property in London Road in Allostock yesterday.
Fire crews from Northwich and Holmes Chapel were sent to the scene at 10.16am.
On arrival, crews found that the fire was in a refrigerator.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out a fire in a fridge.
“They also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke following the fire. The crews were at the scene for about an hour.”
