FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Chester pub after a fire broke out in the cellar.
Three fire engines, from Chester and Ellesmere Port, were called to The Brewers Arms, also known as The Frog, in Upton just before 11.20 last night (Thursday, April 10).
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building on Liverpool Road to tackle the fire.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "On arrival at the pub, which is also known as The Frog, the crews discovered that the fire involved an electricity box in the cellar and that everyone was accounted for.
"The gas supply was isolated and an electrician later isolated the electricity supply.
"Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire.
"A large fan was used to clear smoke from the premises."
The fire crews were at the scene for about an hour and a half.
