ELLESMERE Port cadets and staff are to be honoured in the Lord-Lieutenant Awards for the County of Cheshire
It was announced last week the recipients of this years’ awards had been decided with cadets and staff from Merseyside Wing of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets included.

Among those who will receive the Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service are several members of 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron, including Sergeant Lynette McDermott RAFAC, Civilian Instructor Andrew Probert and Cadet Sergeant Theodore Philip-Holloway for their diligent service to the Air Cadets as well as the people of Ellesmere Port and Cheshire.

This years ceremony will take place at the Town Hall in Chester on Thursday, May 30, at 6pm.
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets is open to all young people ages 12 (Year 8) to 18 and offers the opportunity for cadets to experience many areas including flying, gliding, target shooting, leadership, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, visits and camps in the UK and Europe.
