CHESHIRE East Council has granted planning permission for a new boiler house in British Salt.
The site is located in Cledford Lane and the development will be located on the south west side of the power plant.
The building would be approximately 12.5m in height 54m long and 19m wide and of an appearance appropriate to this industrial site.
A planning statement said: “The site of the development is within the industrial complex, with intervening buildings.
“Given this, and the distance to residential properties, there would be no adverse impact on residential amenity caused by the proposal.
“The proposed development is considered to be of acceptable design, in keeping with the character of the area, and would not adversely impact upon the amenities of neighbours.”
The Middlewich Town Council did not object to the proposal but they did express concern regarding the impact on the visual amenity of the area.
