ELLESMERE Port cadets joined forces with superheroes to raise money for a children's charity.
RAF Air Cadets and Staff from Merseyside Wing Air Cadet Squadrons, including 1074 Ellesmere Port, worked with the Radio City Super Hero Skyfall event in aid of the Cash for Kids Charity, coming together to collect donations from the public as they watched superheroes and sponsored volunteers abseil down the Radio City Tower.
The drop from the top of the tower is 452 feet and the heroes took the plunge to raise funds for local children.
Superheroes at the event included Batman, Spider-man, Deadpool and many others. They were cheered by friends and family as well as the people of Liverpool who were there for the two days of the Skyfall.
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets is open to all young people ages 12 (Year 8) to 18 and offers the opportunity for Cadets to experience many areas including Flying, Gliding, Target Shooting, Leadership, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, visits and camps to active RAF Stations across Europe and much more.
