ONE new bucket list destination has been announced for all-year-round flights from Manchester Airport.

Jet2 has confirmed that flights and holidays to exotic Morocco will be available for the very first time from Manchester for next year.

The flight operators will be travelling to two destinations in the north African country – Agadir and Marrakech – with flights and holidays on sale for both Winter 2024/25 and Summer 2025.

Four weekly flights to Morocco will operate from the airport, commencing in October 2024 and running right through to November 2025.

Customers travelling with Jet2holidays and Jet2CityBreaks will be able to choose from approximately 50 four to five-star hotels across Marrakech city, the wider Marrakech area and Agadir.

The launch of year-round holidays, city breaks and flights from Manchester Airport to Marrakech means that local holidaymakers can enjoy a kaleidoscopic melting pot of culture.

In the centre of the ‘Red City’, customers on a Jet2CityBreak can choose from almost 20 hotels or riad-style accommodation, using these centrally located bases to fall in love with Marrakech’s buzzing centre where labyrinth-like streets lead to hidden riads that are adorned with exquisitely tiled courtyards.

With bright-blue and canary-yellow ceramics dotted between famous terracotta stonework, holidaymakers can mingle with locals as they wander through the world-famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, picking up souvenirs from tea to hand-woven rugs.

At night, the markets and atmosphere come to life, with the timeless Moroccan experience guaranteed to please holidaymakers.

Summer and winter flights will also be available to book to Adagir, Morocco’s most popular beach resort.

Located on the west coast of Morocco, Agadir’s biggest draw is a 9km-long stretch of golden sand, dotted with hotels, waterparks and a selection of incredible bars and restaurants.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “We are thrilled to be giving customers and independent travel agents even more choice from Manchester Airport thanks to the launch of Morocco as a brand-new destination.

With year-round availability to the magical destinations of Marrakech and Agadir, we are giving holidaymakers access to two famous holiday hotspots.

We are incredibly excited about these new destinations, and we know how immensely popular they will be with our customers.”

The company will operate two weekly flights from Manchester Airport to Marrakech between October 4, 2024 and November, 14, 2025.

Meanwhile two weekly flights to Agadir will operate between October 3, 2024 and November 16, 2025.

Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester Airport, said: “Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ addition of these two Moroccan destinations is fantastic news for us and for our passengers, and it will provide them with even greater choice.

“Passengers are looking to broaden their horizons and are seeking out exciting, emerging destinations which offer great value for money, so we’re sure Agadir and Marrakech will prove extremely popular.”
