BURGER King looks set to arrive in Northwich.
Plans for the fast-food chain’s new drive-thru restaurant have taken a step forward after it was given permission to install advertisements and signage.
It signals the latest development at Condate Retail Park, following the opening of Starbucks last month.
In a report recommending the application be approved, Cheshire West and Chester case officer Edward Shepherd wrote: “The signage to the building is considered appropriate for the type of unit, and whilst the unit occupies a prominent position this signage is considered acceptable in terms of visual amenity.”
The plans for Condate Retail Park, off Station Road, were approved last year.
Formerly occupied by The Care Centre showroom and Enterprise Rent a Car, the site has undergone a major development.
Two large units, both with drive-thru facilities, have been created.
One of these units has already been taken over, with Starbucks opening its doors on December 14.
The launch of Northwich’s first branch of the international coffee chain has created 18 new jobs for the local community.

Meanwhile, the development at Condate Retail Park has also seen the creation of three smaller units, along with the re-purposing of an existing building.
These units are expected to be occupied by 'small start-up companies and local existing businesses', according to a design and access statement submitted on behalf of Alderley Edge-based applicant North West Portfolio Limited.
