CHEERS!
Fancy an ice cold drink in the sunshine this weekend?
We've got just the place to go!
Monday, May 13 is World Cocktail Day so we've put together a list of ten places in Warrington that serve great drinks.
World Cocktail Day is a global celebration of cocktails.
It marks the publication date of the first definition of a cocktail on May 13 in 1806.
The New York tabloid 'The Balance and Columbian Repository' defined a cocktail as "a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water and bitters".
It was written by editor Harry Croswell in response to a reader’s inquiry.
Whether it’s a cold mojito in the sunshine or a warming Old Fashioned in front of the fire - where should you go for a cocktail this weekend?
Do you prefer a pina colada or a margarita? Does a Long Island Iced Tea take your fancy or would you rather have an espresso martini?
Last summer, as part of our Best of 2023 competition, we wanted to know your favourite cocktail and where we can get one.
We shortlisted ten top cocktail places with The Grape and Bean on Market Street taking the title.
EIGHT TOP PLACES FOR COCKTAILS:
The Grape and Bean, Market Street, Northwich
One very happy customer said The Grape and Bean serves “by far the best cocktails in Northwich” so the venue was a must for our shortlist.
Another said: “They have a large choice of cocktails that are all made fresh and don’t come from at tin.
“Made to perfection.”
