IT was a mixed week for Middlewich Athletic - with a resounding victory followed by a bad defeat.
The Robins beat Garrswood 3-1 - after a Demis Ohandjanian hat-trick - but lost to Leek CSOB 3-0.
But the club has made two promising signings.
Manager Alan Thompson said of his rollercoaster week: "It proves what I was saying last week about it being an unpredictable game.
"Leek beat Garrswood five-nil, and we beat them then we lost to Leek. I think we went into our second match with a little overconfidence but the result brought us back to earth."
Athletic's signings are one-time Winsford United player Mark McCarrick and ex-Burnley YTS player, Rob Evers.
