Exeter City 3 Crewe Alexandra 0
CREWE were outclassed by unbeaten League Two leaders Exeter on Saturday.
After George Cooper wasted a great chance to give The Alex an early lead, blazing over from 10 yards, the hosts hit the front when Jordan Tillson pounced on a rebound after Ben Garratt made a superb save to deny Troy Brown.
Garratt denied both Liam McAlinden and Reuben Reid before the Grecians doubled their advantage when the former’s scuffed shot fell kindly for Jake Taylor to convert at the far post.
Exeter dominated proceedings and it required a superb goalline clearance from Eddie Nolan to stop Dave Artell’s side from going further behind.
However, the hosts did find a third goal when Taylor’s cross was headed home by substitute Jayden Stockley.
