CREWE and Nantwich continued their winning start to the campaign by edging out Cleobury.
Toby Ward finished off a neat handling move to give the visitors the lead with a try converted by Jim Creighton, but a penalty got the hosts on the board shortly after.
However, Elliot Meredith extended Crewe’s lead by showing an excellent turn of pace to burst through the defence and score.
The sides swapped penalties before Cleobury grabbed their first try of the game, but Crewe held on for victory.
