Yeovil Town 2 Crewe Alexandra 0

CREWE Alexandra slipped to 19th in League Two after their latest defeat, this time to Yeovil Town.

After an energetic opening, the Glovers took the lead when Otis Khan’s cross was flicked into the path of Rhys Browne, who volleyed home.

The rest of the first half was dominated by The Alex and home stopper Artur Krysiak was forced into good saves to deny Tom Lowery and Jordan Bowery.

Crewe continued in this vein after the break, but Yeovil doubled their lead just before the hour mark.

Ryan Dickson broke forward and found Olufela Olomola, whose deflected effort found its way past Dave Richards in the Alex goal.

Eddie Nolan thumped a header against the crossbar from a corner as Crewe continued to press, but they could not turn the tide.

They welcome league leaders Notts County to Gresty Road tomorrow, Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm.
