Nantwich Town 1 Coalville Town 3
DESPITE taking an early lead, Nantwich slipped to defeat to Coalville on Saturday to fall into the relegation zone.
The loss at Weaver Stadium ends a run of three consecutive league wins and that, coupled with Halesowen’s win over Whitby, leaves them 22nd in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
The Dabbers started excellently and took the lead when defender Joel Stair rose highest to head Matt Bell’s corner into the net.
However, by half time, the visitors had turned the game around.
First, Cleveland Taylor bundled home an equaliser despite home stopper Will Jaaskelainen appearing to be fouled, before Jermaine Hollis volleyed superbly into the top corner to give Coalville the lead just a minute before the break.
The visitors edged into a crucial two-goal lead just seven minutes after the break when Daniel Creaney converted the rebound after Jaaskelainen had tipped Kyle Bryant’s shot onto the crossbar.
Nantwich are at home again on Tuesday as they welcome Stourbridge to Weaver Stadium, kick off 7.45pm.
