Rylands 0 Vauxhall Motors 3

WITH a huge game against promotion rivals Wythenshawe Town on the horizon, Rylands will have been hoping to head into it in better form.

Instead, however, they go to the home of their nearest challengers having been beaten at Gorsey Lane for just the second time this season.

Vauxhall Motors did the damage on Saturday, with goals from Haydn Cooper and Ben Holmes putting them two goals to the good before the half-hour mark.

Joe Brandon then sealed the win for the visitors with 12 minutes remaining.

Despite the result, Rylands remain top of the North West Counties League First Division South as Wythenshawe saw their home game against Cammell Laird postponed.

The two sides square off on Saturday, kick off 3pm, and a Blues victory would send them four points clear at the top.
